II International Congress of Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language

Dr. María Nayra Rodríguez Rodríguez, member of the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications, together a Didac Martín Martínez, student of the Doctorate in Linguistic and Literary Studies in their Sociocultural Contexts (DELLCOS) have participated in the II International Congress of Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (CIELE), of the Universitat Jaume I and, which took place on October 21 and 22 online.

They presented the paper with the title "The Spanish language of Emotions and Neuroeducation in the ELE classroom of the PUCMM (Pontificia Universidad Madre y Maestra) of the Dominican Republic: The case of the Haitian students."

II Seminario Proyectos transdisciplinares en humanidades e informática

The Doctor and member of the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT), Francisco Carreras Riudavets, will participate on November 18, 2022 in the II Seminar Transdisciplinary projects in humanities and informatics.

The Seminar will be in a hybrid format from Madrid, Santiago de Compostela and Pamplona.

The so-called “Digital Humanities” have been gaining strength in recent years. This Seminar aims to improve that relationship and expose how these projects where technology and humanities work together are really managed.

From October 26 to 29, 2022, the International Seminar LA ENSEÑANZA RHETORIC IN HUMANISM: FROM MANUALS TO PRACTICE IN THE CLASSROOM sponsored by the Proyecto Los  progymnasmata in European Schools (XVI-XVII): from manuals to practice in the classroom (PID2019-103848GB-I00), financed by the State R&D Plan of the Ministry of Science and Innovation of the Government of Spain and the organization of the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Sixteen researchers from seven universities and research centers specializing in the rhetorical tradition with classical roots, especially the Progymnasmata,  during the 16th centuries will participate and XVIII.
