The Doctors and members of the Division Societies and Atlantic Spaces: Discourses and Cartography from IATEXT, Josefina Domínguez Mujica, Juan Manuel Parreño Castellano, Mercedes Rodríguez Rodríguez and Claudio Moreno  Medina participate in the Centennial Congress of the International Geographical Union  which from today, July 18 to 22, takes place in Paris.

The Division Cognition, Texts and Contexts of the  University Institute of  Textual Analysis and Applications organizes the Seminar "The words of political discourse: genealogy and permanence of meanings, lexical and ideological conflicts." which will feature the Professor of Spanish linguist, Carmen Pineira-Tresmontant de la  University of Artois.

The Seminar will take place on July 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the IATEXT Headquarters.

Attendance is free and for new and senior researchers.

Professor and member of the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications, Trinidad Arcos Pereira participates in the Época Festival that will take place from June 27 to July 3.

The conference that Arcos Pereira will give will take place on June 27 at 5:00 p.m. in the Old Convent of Santo Domindo, in San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

This cycle of conferences, which opens the Epoca Festival, will delve into the history of the first texts that speak of the Canary Islands. A territory located in the confines of the classical world, beyond the Pillars of Hercules, where the ancients located mythical spaces such as the Islands of the Blessed, the Garden of the Hesperides or the Fortunate Islands.

The doctor and member of the Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications, Carmen Márquez Montes, moderates on June 16  from 2022 at 11:00 in the Assembly Hall of the Education Sciences Building the Conference of "Educational Innovation. The theaters of the classroom and the classroom in the theater".

Conference is organized by the Educational Innovation Group "Teaching Innovation in the Humanities", the Pérez Galdós Institute of Secondary Education and the Vice President for Teaching Staff, Academic Organization and Educational Innovation of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
