Work and Memory of Saramago
The International Classroom of Portugal, attached to the Office of the Vice President for Internationalization, Mobility and International Projection, organizes on Monday, November 14, starting at 5:00 p.m., the conference “Work and Memory of Saramago”, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
The session begins with the presentation “Saramago the writer: his work and his multiple records”, given by the Professor and member of the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications, Gregorio Rodríguez Herrera. Next, session 1 will begin, under the title, "Saramago and his work, Portuguese legacy", moderated by Javier Álvarez, and the participation of Isabel Araujo, professor at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and Raquel Baltazar, professor at the Universidade de Lisboa.
After the break, session 2, "Saramago and his life, the person", will be moderated by Jin Taira, and the participation of Manuel Medina, Spanish MEP, and Pilar del Río, writer and widow of José Saramago.
