II JORNADAS de INNOVACIÓN TEATRO y ENSEÑANZA
Dr. Carmen Márquez has organized the II Conference on Innovation "Theatre and Teaching" which will be held next Friday, November 4, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. 00h.
These conferences supported in the Educational Innovation Project "The theaters in the classroom and the classroom in the theatre", granted as part of the Calls for Educational Innovation Projects of the ULPGC, the performance of the play “Memorial de la Infamia”, performed by students from the IES Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas. The dramaturgy of the piece is performed by José A. Arteaga based on the works of Canarian authors: El barranco, by Nivaria Tejera, and Romancero captivo, by Pedro García Cabrera, and has been directed by Elia Padrón Quintero.
Students from three institutes on the island, from the South, North and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, will attend, as well as students from the ULPGC, with whom their classmates from the IES Pérez Galdós will hold a colloquium, at end the performance, to discuss the importance that the theater experience has had for them.
There will be a round table where they will talk about the importance of theater and the performing arts in general for the development of students, both at a curricular and personal level, it is necessary to convey that theater should be a transversal procedure in the centers, which is applied in the various subjects, assuming it and implementing it as one more pedagogical technique.
