Doctor and IATEXT member, Daniel Castillo Hidalgo organizes the II Conference on Studies on the History of the Czech Republic that will be held on May 3, 2023 in the IATEXT Multipurpose Room at 10:00 a.m.

On this occasion, a conference will be given on the "Eight milestones in the contemporary history of the Czech Republic", by Professor Tomás Hubalek, from the University of Olomouc, who is visiting our university within the Erasmus program.

The University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications participates in the Conferences for reflection and debate 'Transformations induced by the COVID-19 pandemic in socio-spatial structures' that will take place next Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 April 2023 in the Graduation Room of the Obelisk Faculty of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

These sessions will be attended by Professor Josefina Domínguez  Mujica, who will present the conference, and with Doctor Juan Manuel Parreño Castellano, who will moderate the discussion table on April 27, 2023. Both are members of the Division of Atlantic Societies and Spaces: Discourses and Cartography  of IATEXT.

On Thursday, April 20, 2023, they interviewed the Director of IATEXT, Gregorio Rodríguez Herrera, on the occasion of the presentation of ModeCan.

Modernist Texts of the Canary Islands (ModeCan) is a scalable search engine based on the complete works of Canarian authors Tomás Morales, Alonso Quesada and Saulo Torón. This new digital philological tool will allow new approaches and innovative results on the work of Tomás Morales, Alonso Quesada and Saulo Torón through the lexical relationships present in their works, as well as linguistic, grammatical and semantic studies in the works of these writers.

Jornada Cultural "Elio Antonio de Nebrija, puente de unión territorial y cultural de España, Europa e Iberoamérica"

On April 21, 2023, the Cultural Day "Elio Antonio de Nebrija, bridge of territorial and cultural union of Spain, Europe and Ibero-America" ​​was held, organized by the Society of Latino Studies and the Institute of Humanistic Studies in the Senate.

The main objective of the Cultural Day is to ask the Upper House, through the Town Halls of the Nebrisense Route (Lebrija, Seville, Córdoba, Salamanca, Medina del Campo, Zalamea de la Serena, Villanueva de la Serena, Plasencia, Alcántara, Brozas, Gata, Mérida, Coca, Madrigal de las Altas Torres, Béjar, Alcalá de Henares and Bolonia), which promotes the declaration of Latin, Greek and Classical Culture as Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Humanity.

This event was attended by the Professor and member of the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT), Gregorio Rodríguez Herrera.
