Doctor of the ULPGC and member of IATEXT, Carmen Márquez Montes has recently published in The Conversation: “The revolutionary women of the theater by Benito Pérez Galdós".
In this article, Márquez explains and reveals the importance that the Canarian author gave to the female characters in each of his works. It emphasizes that, in terms of Galdós' theatrical production, “seventeen of the twenty-one plays written and premiered were led by women. All of them were characterized by being great defenders of the right of women to develop in life according to their desires.”
