Reconocimiento a la carrera investigadora universitaria de la Doctora María Teresa Cáceres Lorenzo
On Saturday, January 29, the Investiture Act for new Doctors for the 2020/21 academic year was held at the University Paraninfo (C/Juan de Quesada, 30. Vegueta), chaired by the Rector Lluis Serra Majem.
During the event, various awards related to research were awarded, such as: Awards the Extraordinary Awards of Doctoral Students 2021 (Marta García Cabrera, David Domínguez Montesdeoca, Sergio Santana Viera, Nakita Cámara , Laura del Carmen Pérez y López, Ana Alicia Tejera Hernández, Beatriz Fonticiella Hernández, Tatiana David Negre, Samuel Ortega Sarmiento, Ricardo Donate González and Adriel Sosa Marc), Recognition to the winner of the Hilo Tesis contest (Cristo Manuel Jurado Verdú), Recognition to Outstanding young researchers 2021 (Francisco José Álvarez Gil, Moisés Díaz Cabrera, Jorge Isidoro Matos Rivero, Daniel Dorta Afonso and Guillermo Manuel Álamo Meneses) and Recognition for Scientific Production in Research Groups in Economy, Environment, Sustainability and Tourism (ECOMAS).
We highly highlight the award for university research career to Doctor María Teresa Cáceres Lorenzo, member of IATEXT.
Dr. Cáceres Lorenzo is a University Professor of Spanish Language, she has been a member of the ULPGC staff since 1992. Her lines of research focus on Applied Linguistics to the teaching of Language and Spanish of the Canary Islands and America. She has more than 96 research articles, 11 books and more than 30 book chapters and conference proceedings, in addition to participating in several research and teaching innovation projects of which she has been a researcher or coordinator. She has been an evaluator for the ANECA National Quality Agency since 2014.
