International Congress on African-Atlantic and Afro-descendant Cultural Heritage
African cultural heritage is generally little known beyond the UNESCO World Heritage Site. However, it is much richer and more varied and is not limited only to architecture, sculpture, painting or intangible heritage. Historical documentation, photography, cinema, cartography, linguistic contributions, etc. they are also part of this contribution. The African World Heritage Site is present in most African countries and its recognition has been growing in recent years. However, there is a long list of cultural heritage that is also worth preserving and enhancing.
The congress will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Specifically in the facilities of the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT) and Casa África. The congress will be face-to-face; In the event that for justified reasons it cannot be done in person, other mechanisms will be chosen, such as doing it entirely online, mixed (with face-to-face and online participation) or postponing it until it can be done in person.
