Proyecto ModeCan.Textos Modernistas de Canarias.

On Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., the presentation of the ModeCan Project, Modernist Texts from the Canary Islands  will take place at the Tomás Morales House-Museum.

Modernist Texts of the Canary Islands (ModeCan) is a scalable search engine based on the complete works of Canarian authors Tomás Morales, Alonso Quesada and Saulo Torón. This new digital philological tool will allow new approaches and innovative results on the work of Tomás Morales, Alonso Quesada and Saulo Torón through the lexical relationships present in their works, as well as linguistic, grammatical and semantic studies in the works of these writers.

ModeCan is an initiative of the Department of Culture of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Museum Service, at the proposal of the Tomás Morales House-Museum, in whose development it has participated in the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT) through the Division of Computational Linguist and Computer Applications who has collaborated in this project with computer development.
