Doctor Candelaria González Rodríguez presents the exhibition: “Recovery of the historical memory of Franco's repression in the Canary Islands: written and oral sources”
The House of Culture of Arucas hosted on Thursday, March 7, the start of the 2024 edition of the CONFERENCES - EXHIBITIONS – TRIBUTES “Los Pozos del Olvido” which promotes Association for the Historical Memory of Arucas (AMHA) with the collaboration of the Hon. Arucas City Council, Hon. Cabildo of Gran Canaria and the Government of the Canary Islands.
The inauguration of the Conference was led by the Councilor for Culture, Democratic Memory and Historical Heritage of the Arucas City Council, Carlos J. González Matos, the president of the AMHA, Pino Sosa Sosa and Candelaria González Rodríguez , member of the Documentary Heritage and Bibliometrics division of the IATEXT, who presented the exhibition “Recovery of the historical memory of Franco's repression in the Canary Islands: written and oral sources”, as the result of a university research project that, despite the time , keeps alive its objective of scientific dissemination.
The exhibition is accompanied by a brief sample of the AMHA's “Los Pozos del Olvido” exhibition and can be visited until March 30.
