About us
The CLARIAH-IATEXT node is a digital research infrastructure promoted by the Institute for Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT) at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Its aim is to strengthen research in the Humanities through integration into the European research infrastructure CLARIN-ERIC and DARIAH-EU.
Within the framework of the national consortium CLARIAH-ES, which brings together twelve nodes distributed across Spain, the CLARIAH-IATEXT node serves as a reference point in the Canary Islands for connection with these European infrastructures. Its work focuses on facilitating the integration of research teams from the archipelago into international networks, enhancing the visibility of their results, and fostering scientific cooperation in projects related to Digital Humanities and Digital Social Sciences.
At the same time, the node seeks to open new avenues for institutional collaboration and knowledge transfer, contributing to ensuring that research produced in the Canary Islands has a greater impact within the European Research Area and the global academic community.
