Summary:
This agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between ULPGC (through IATEXT), the Island Council of La Gomera, and the Silbo Gomero Cultural Association to develop and implement a Digital Safeguarding Plan for Silbo Gomero within the CLARIAH-ES infrastructure. The project aims to preserve, document, digitize, research, and disseminate this intangible cultural heritage through the creation of digital repositories, technological tools, registries of the bearer community, and the integration of the generated resources into the European CLARIN and DARIAH infrastructures. It also includes the digitization of documentary, photographic, audio, and audiovisual collections, the promotion of training and outreach activities, and the long-term preservation of this UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage.
